What is TCPA consent?
TCPA consent is the permission framework under the US Telephone Consumer Protection Act for calling and texting consumers: consent for informational messages, prior express written consent for marketing, honored opt-outs, and records that prove all of it. A clinic's texting program is built on these consent tiers.
How it works in an aesthetic clinic
At booking, the client agrees to appointment-related texts: the informational tier. A separate, unbundled checkbox covers promotional messages: the marketing tier. Every message honors STOP instantly, and the consent record (who agreed, when, to what wording) is stored with the client. Marketing sends go only to the promo-consented list, automatically.

Why it matters for clinic operators
TCPA damages are statutory, per message, and class-action fuel, which makes consent hygiene the cheapest insurance a clinic buys. Design the tiers once with counsel, then let the software enforce them on every send.
